Grandpa knew where to go and we ended up in a lovely meadow.
Naturally, one cannot possibly camp without making S'Mores over a fire. Who cares if they are messy, they're required.
We also caught a few fish, played games, went for rides on the ATV (with helmet), practiced our target shooting, ate lots of good food, got a bit dirty, talked, and laughed a lot.We took a day to visit Bryce Canyon National Park. Hubby and I hadn't been for many years and the boys not at all. It is still an amazing place!
Some of the formations are called HooDoos and we thought this one looked like two people standing on a precipice.
It was a fun time with three wonderful kids who don't get to see each other very often. We were sorry to have to send them back to their parents and sisters.
The three younger grandkids are our granddaughters (8, 5, and 3). We'll soon need to find a way to do something fun to get them together too. Darn these sons who end up on different coasts. The boys (and grandpa) are already planning to camp again next summer.

what a fun opportunity and you got to go along on the boys campout. Definitely is time now for the girls to do something fun like shop or do crafts, etc. Sounds like a fun summer
The girls in my family would rather go rock climbing or para-sailing or scuba diving than shopping. From young girls to young women they could do pirouettes up and down any mountin in North America and almost always met the boys huffing their way UP while they were dancing their way back DOWN. The boys would, of course, meet ME, their tired, old "Gigi", on their way down...
This looks like such fun. What's better than building memories with our kids and grandkids? Nuthin I can think of.
I've been to Bryce and remember it was beautiful! Nice that you and the family are having fun and eating smores and taking pictures. Camp on!!!
This really looked like a lot of fun. I remember Bryce canyon. That is quite a shot you took. Those smores are so tempting.
