SkyWatch and Feeling Spring

I'm finally back to SkyWatch Friday.  Where I live, spring is definitely on the way.  The grass is starting to turn green, the temperature warms up nicely in the afternoons, and a shower means rain instead of snow.  No blossoms yet, but they won't be long.

The Pine Valley Mountain still has snow, but I've traded in my coats for light jackets.  Hooray!

I know I'm at the warm end of the state, some of my family and friends are still shoveling and wearing hats and gloves.  But then, that's part of the reason I'm now here and not there.  For other cool pictures visit SkyWatch Friday.

Yae for spring! This is such a pretty picture, Jo! You're much more on the ball than I am. I haven't gotten my act together to get a good sky photo lately. I'll just enjoy yours.

Glad you're back at SWF and that the weather is starting to warm up out your way. Your shot makes it look like spring is just around the corner. Nice colors, too.

Lovely photograph ;--)
We have snow on the mountains but I've not been able to capture any photos yet because of storm clouds and/or haze ... but I'm working on it. I shared Sky Watches (with a little Haiku) at Happily Retired Gal and Sacred Ruminations this weekend but I'm just getting around to visit because I've been sick.
Hugs and blessings,

Well.. I'm in the central part of the same state. Our creek is flowing again, our lawn is starting to look green, the tulips and daffodils are peeking through the thick layer of leaves...and all is well with the world. Of course, I know that we WILL have another bout of snowflakes shaking from the sky. And it is still jacket chillhy in the mornings. (My mom told me snow was the down falling out of the angels feathers when they shook them out to get ready for flight) I never understood why it only fell sometimes and why it was cold... But, then I grew up in California and didn't really experience much snow first hand in my youth, so didn't think about it too much. Anyway, I digress...

You enjoy your early spring. I'll enjoy my July and August.

I also am a teacher but I still have long time to go before retirement. Though I've been teaching for 23 years. I must say you have BEAUTIFUL grandkids!
Thanks for your comment on my sky in SkywatchFr.
